Live updates: Follow along as Jimbo Fisher, assistant coaches and players talk during Texas A&M's media day

Jun 15, 2023

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The Texas A&M football team will hold its comprehensive media day event Sunday, starting in the morning and ending in the evening. GigEm247 will provide live updates throughout the day, which can be seen in the comment section of this article.

To begin media day, the Aggies are scheduled to take their team picture at 10 a.m. in Kyle Field. A&M head coach Jimbo Fisher, multiple assistant coaches and various players will then speak with reporters, starting at 10:10 a.m.

Offensive coordinator Bobby Petrino, defensive coordinator/linebackers coach DJ Durkin and assistant head coach/running game coordinator/defensive line coach Elijah Robinson are the three assistant coaches who will address the media following Fisher. Four players – quarterbacks Conner Weigman and Max Johnson, wide receiver Noah Thomas and nickel cornerback Bryce Anderson – will be interviewed as well.

With the exception of this annual media day event, Fisher does not typically permit his assistant coaches to have public interviews with reporters. So their comments should be quite insightful for media members and fans.

For readers who are not able to watch each interview in real time or follow the live updates in the comment section, GigEm247 will embed the video from each interview into a separate story. Expect the press conference videos to come with a few bullet points that summarize what each interviewee said as well.

Once the press conferences end, GigEm247 will stop providing live updates before resuming them during the practice in the afternoon. The practice, which is slated to start at 4:45 p.m. in Kyle Field, will be open to the public.

The media members in attendance will be permitted to film video and take pictures of the first few periods (approximately 20 minutes) of the practice. Reporters will not be allowed to film or take pictures during the rest of the practice, but they can observe it from the stands.

GigEm247 will have more than just live updates while covering media day. Stay tuned for our extensive coverage from the event, which will include a practice report, highlights from practice, stories from the interviews and more.
