Siemens Completes Acquisition of Dotmatics

Siemens AG announced that it has completed the acquisition of Dotmatics, a Boston, MA-based provider of life sciences R&D software and portfolio company of global software investor Insight Partners, for an enterprise value of $5.1 Billion.

With the transaction now completed, Dotmatics will form part of Siemens’ Digital Industries Software business, marking an expansion of Siemens’ product lifecycle management (PLM) portfolio into the rapidly growing and complementary life sciences market.

Dotmatics specializes in R&D scientific software that connects science, data, and decision-making. Combining a workflow and data platform with applications, it offers an end-to-end solutions for biology, chemistry, formulations, data management, flow cytometry, and more.
